POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, can work independently, and is able to identify and implement solutions without requiring close supervision to fill our Volunteer & Donor Relations Manager role. This is a key, forward-facing position focused on cultivating and expanding our volunteer and donor relationships while fostering a strong sense of community and family within the ministry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for connecting people with the mission and vision of CR, supporting what the Lord is doing in and through our organization.
This role goes beyond relationship-building; it involves networking, recruiting, and serving as a catalyst for new church and ministry partnerships. The Volunteer & Donor Relations Manager will play a critical part in strengthening our outreach and ensuring the growth and sustainability of our ministry. Job Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Volunteer Management
Implement the volunteer intake process, including processing new volunteer applications, matching volunteers to appropriate teams, and facilitating and tracking onboarding.
Oversee the collection and tracking of volunteer data and documents.
Work with appropriate staff to ensure volunteers are given proper training to be safe and successful in their roles.
Ensure volunteer assignments provide meaningful, satisfying work in a community reflective of the core values of the ministry.
Manager volunteer groups and work with CR’s Operations Manager to facilitate service projects.
Ensure volunteers work in a safe, healthy, and supportive environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations.
Assist with conflict resolution involving volunteers according to established procedures and organizational core values.
Administer and monitor expenditures for volunteer programs against the approved budget. i.e. Volunteer appreciation work days, and networking events
Assist in creating the annual budget for the volunteer program activities.
Report on volunteer data and statistics.
Work alongside the Admin & Ops Coordinator to collect and analyze demographic and volunteer satisfaction data.
Identify & market meaningful volunteer stories through Social Media & Events.

Volunteer Program Development
Promote volunteer program and coordinate with volunteer networks to increase awareness and gain community support of volunteering
Forecast future volunteer needs in accordance with the growth plan.
Develop and manage annual program goals and implementation plan.
Develop and manage targeted programs and trainings to improve volunteer knowledge, skills and experience in areas relevant to CR’s mission.
Conduct ongoing evaluation of the volunteer program, its processes, policies and activities; recommend and implement improvements as necessary.
Train staff and volunteer leadership to work cooperatively with volunteers and to provide them with effective supervision.
Orient volunteers to increase their understanding of the ministry, its recipients, its services and the role and responsibilities of volunteers.

Volunteer Care
Effectively communicate organization and program updates to volunteers.
Plan and implement formal and informal volunteer recognition activities to show appreciation for the contributions of volunteers to the organization.
Provide individualized care for volunteers, including birthday and life event acknowledgments, support in times of need, etc.

Donor Stewardship
Work alongside the Executive Director to maintain relationships with donors and prospects, developing stewardship plans, and coming up with new ways to thank and recognize donors.
Work directly alongside the Executive Director & Administrative & Operations Coordinator to implement and track donor stewardship databases.
Work directly alongside the Executive Director & Administrative & Operations Coordinator to nurture current and new donor relationships, both individual, corporate & church relations.

Social Media - work alongside the Administrative & Operations Coordinator to maintain FB/IG, create overall strategy and content with XD, and then execute a strategy. Creative design skills using Canva.
Event Planning - planning of fundraising and volunteer events, in conjunction with the Administrative & Operations Coordinator & Executive Director.
Fundraising: Knowledge and experience with Fundraising/Philanthropic Campaigns is a plus!
Data & Media: Highly proficient in CRM, Donor Management & Social Media platforms.
Other duties, as required.

BACKGROUND ON CORNERSTONE

Cornerstone Restoration (CR) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit ministry located in Austin, Texas. Our Mission: Restoring hope to the vulnerable in the community. Through construction-based projects, our volunteers serve the physical & spiritual needs of the elderly, widows, single parents, children, veterans, disabled, and survivors of human trafficking or sexual exploitation. So that God’s love can be seen and experienced by all.
CR was officially established in December of 2020. Our volunteers are the engine that drives CR in both care and construction. We are excited to continue scaling our ministry to engage more neighbors all over the city, restore hope and homes for those in need, and equip our team to be servant-leaders.
