The Mission Advancement Academy© (MAA) is Good Works Community’s flagship accelerator program, designed to equip Christian nonprofits with the knowledge and tools needed to maximize their impact by focusing on six key areas: strategy, impact measurement, governance, stewardship, operations, and leadership.

Through in-depth workshops, practical exercises, expert coaching, and peer learning, participants develop actionable tools and plans to strengthen their organizations and advance their missions. Rooted in Christ-centered principles, the MAA is ideal for nonprofits seeking to grow their skills, build effective teams, and serve their communities with excellence and purpose.

The next MAA program will launch in September 2025, and applications are now open! The application deadline is June 30, 2025, and selected organizations will be notified by July 15, 2025.

Through P27 Groups, nonprofit leaders connect in small, role-based peer groups to exchange insights, offer encouragement, and tackle challenges together. These Christ-centered discussions create a space for leaders to grow, build strong relationships, and sharpen their leadership skills with the support of like-minded peers.

Program Staff or Board Member?

GWC is considering launching two new P27 peer groups in Fall 2025 — one for leaders focused on Board Governance and another for those managing Programs. These role-based groups would offer structured peer support, practical insights, and space to troubleshoot challenges with others in similar roles.

If you’re interested in joining either group, fill out the short form below. We’ll notify you if the groups move forward and keep you in the loop about next steps!
