Learning & Development
Learn. Lead. Grow.
All for the glory of God.
Learning and Development is at the heart of our mission to equip Christian nonprofit leaders for greater impact.
Through a range workshops and trainings, peer groups, and acceleration programs, we help increase your impact, you raise more funding, strengthen your board, clarify your strategy, enhance your operations, and grow your leadership.
Workshops & Trainings
Good Works Community offers practical workshops and trainings tailored to the needs of Christian nonprofits and their leaders. Our workshops and learning series cover a range of essential topics, including board development, grant writing, fundraising, program management, people leadership, and much more. These sessions are designed to provide actionable insights and tools that help organizations overcome challenges, strengthen their operations, and expand their impact—all while staying rooted in a Christ-centered mission.
NOTE: Free trainings are designed specifically for current staff and board members of nonprofit organizations. We kindly ask that consultants and for-profit professionals connect with us directly to explore other ways to engage.

GROWING YOUR GIVING COMMUNITY
This free 2026 four-part fundraising program features innovative workshops, expert coaching, peer learning, and useful tools, all designed to help you expand your donor base and connect more deeply with your supporters.
We will help you develop annual fundraising plans, hold more productive fundraising events, implement major donor development strategies, and change your fundraising efforts to become an integral part of your ministry, not just activity that supports your ministry.
While the sessions are designed to build on each other, and we encourage participation in the full program, attending individual sessions will nonetheless be very beneficial!
NOTE: Our free offerings are designed specifically for current staff and board members of nonprofit organizations.

Through P27 Groups, nonprofit leaders connect in small, role-based peer groups to exchange insights, offer encouragement, and tackle challenges together. These Christ-centered discussions create a space for leaders to grow, build strong relationships, and sharpen their leadership skills with the support of like-minded peers.
Are you a Program Manager?
GWC is hoping to launch a new P27 peer group soon for leaders focused on managing Programs. This role-based group would offer structured peer support, practical insights, and space to troubleshoot challenges with others in similar roles.
If you’re interested in joining such a group, fill out the short form below. We’ll notify you if the group moves forward and keep you in the loop about next steps!

The Mission Advancement Academy (MAA) is Good Works’ flagship nonprofit accelerator designed to strengthen Christian organizations for long-term impact. Over six months, nonprofit leaders participate in a dynamic cohort experience that blends strategic training, spiritual renewal, and practical coaching.
Through a powerful combination of workshops, a two-night strategy and spiritual retreat, expert coaching, and peer learning, each organization is equipped to lead with greater clarity, build healthy teams, measure meaningful impact, and steward resources with wisdom and faith. The Academy focuses on six pillars of nonprofit excellence—Good Strategy, Good Impact, Good Operations, Good Governance, Good Stewardship, and Good Leadership.

Mission Empowerment Fund Scholarships
The Mission Empowerment Fund exists to ensure that financial constraints never stand in the way of Christian leaders gaining access to GWC resources, workshops, and training. Through this fund, eligible organizations can apply for scholarships to offset costs such as membership dues, workshops, and leadership development programs.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and handled with confidentiality. Scholarships are available to current GWC members, based on organizational need, GWC’s assessment, and the availability of funds.
