Job Overview
Partners in Hope – Texas (PIH) is looking for an experienced ministry director for our growing and respected faith-based nonprofit ministry. We need a passionate self-starter who will maximize the successful programming already in place in the Lake Travis/Spicewood area. This person must have a passion for community-based ministry and working with those who need connection and community.
Job Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities for this position include: cultivating community partnerships, volunteer development, organizing special events such as community workdays and fellowship dinners, working with the Community Connections Manager to support our PIH families (clients), cultivating church partners, and supporting development functions.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Significant leadership and supervisory experience.
• Reasonable understanding of nonprofit processes and regulations.
• Experience managing individuals as well as groups of volunteers.
• Familiarity with Zoom and socially accepted guidelines for remote engagement.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job.
• Independent transportation.
• Access to a computer and smart phone.
Preferred Qualifications
• Social work, pastoral care, or related experience.
• Experience working for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
• Experience working for or volunteering with a church.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 Suite and other relevant nonprofit computer programs.
• Event planning/ project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
This position works with all members of the PIH Leadership Team, but primarily the Executive Director and the Lake Travis/Spicewood Community Connections Manager. The ideal candidate will either live in Lake Travis/Spicewood or will have knowledge of that area. This person will receive training from current staff who have experience serving in this area, as well as support from the Cedar Park/Leander Ministry Director counterpart.
