Job Overview
Reset’s focus is on youth who have been involved in the Juvenile Justice system. Our Teen Event
Coordinator helps us build rapport and connection with the youth and their family by providing safe,
fun, connecting and educational opportunities while building connections between the teens,
mentors, and other safe adults. Allowing them to learn new skills that will enable them to move
forward in their lives. Our Teen Event Coordinator will plan activities including but not limited to teen
nights, Sunday Funday’s, holiday events and life skill classes both inside the Juvenile Justice facility
and in the community. The coordinator is also responsible for building volunteer teams, creating
calendars and ensuring events are held in a safe fun environment for our youth. The ideal candidate
will excel at creatively finding ways to connect with teens using Trust Based Relational Intervention
(TBRI) principles. The position requires an extremely organized individual who can keep the areas
clean and organized while they plan multiple weekly events.
Job Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and prepare for events. This can include things such as:
o Ensuring there is enough food & items needed for any games or activities.
o Ensuring that the activities last the entire duration of the event.
o Teens & Families have been notified.
o Rides Arranged & Mentors Scheduled
o Straightening, cleaning, organizing after events or assigning teens & mentors
to help in this process.
• Ensure the mentors/volunteers know their role for the evening.
• Assign tasks to adults to ensure participation and provide feedback.
• After the event organize/clean the area and turn in reports and pictures.
These responsibilities require you to be onsite every Thursday from 12:30-8:30 pm along with
2nd and 4th Sundays from 1:00-5:30 pm.
Job Qualifications
21 Years of Age or Older
• Able to pass a background check - this includes no felonies within the last 10 years or
misdemeanors in the last 5 years.
• The ability to learn and use Trauma Informed Care & TBRI Principles.
• The ability to use current technology, such as Microsoft Office, Signup Genius, Teams, Zoom, etc.)
